Yoga

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves.

Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

Ages 3-4: Wed 4:15-5:00

A fun and imaginative series, where we combine simple yoga poses with engaging songs, puppets and stories that exercise social, sensory and motor skills while increasing flexibility.

Ages 5-7: Mon 4:00-4:45. Wed 2:30-3:15

Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with various breathing and visualization techniques. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses, lots of yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy.

Ages 12+: Wed 5:00-5:45

Help build strength and flexibility with more physically challenging postures and flowing sequences. Promoting self confidence, self-awareness and control. Visualization and breathing exercises are used for overall balance and concentration.
